Island Hillside House

The building site was a steep hillside in the San Juan Islands of Washington. The design responded to the site by cutting into and stepping down the hillside to create a series of open living spaces with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths . With generous glazing, patios and balconies oriented to a southern exposure, natural light and beautiful views adorn this single family residence.
