We have just completed the Design Phase of our New SHOJI STUDIO ! The project is for a client that wants a small accessory art studio-shop and space for entertaining-relaxing in the garden. The Shoji Shop is fully enclosed and utilizes a set of large polycarbonate glazed sliding industrial-shoji styled doors that provide wide access and lots of North light. The design branches off our 200sf Outdoor Pavilions to work with our clients property, zoning, existing garden and budget. The 200sf is interior and the top of wall is below ten feet- resulting in no require building permitting. Now that the design phase is complete we will start fabrication in our in-house fabrication workshop. Once complete we delivered and installed it onsite. The floor will be a cast in place and brushed finish concrete slab. Standard power outlet along the walls w/ Low voltage wiring for the dimmable globe fixtures are designed in and completely concealed. The steel frames round columns and beams are a fully powder coated low gloss warm bronze and have concealed connectors so that no standard bolting hardware is visible. The connection between steel beams and the roof is also completely concealed within the finished ceiling. Interior finish is a white stained plywood- perfect of hanging art projects anywhere! Ceiling boards are sustainably harvested and locally sourced Western Red Cedar. Roofing and trim are concealed fastener in a soft dark grey finish.
