Ean Eldred

Ean Eldred has had a life-long engagement with art, architecture and design. After his early work with his father Dale Eldred on national and international sculpture and installation projects, he studied at the Kansas City Art Institute’s Foundations Program and then went on to claim a BA in Architecture from Cooper Union in New York. A founding member of the art and architecture collaborative RIGGA, Eldred’s projects with RIGGA included architecture, installation, performance and public art that have been presented nationally and internationally. Subsequent collaborative work combined Eldred with Peter Nylen in NE Works, and with John Kashiwabara in EldredKashiwabara. These partnerships merged, along with architect Richard Garfield, into the current rhiza A+D which continues to develop an inter-disciplinary practice through architecture, installations and public art. Additionally, Eldred has served as a guest critic at the University of Oregon’s architecture school reviews, taught urban drawing classes for the PNCA continuing education program and served as a juror on RACC and Metro public art selection panels.
